Cindy is the publishing strategist for Somersault, serving clients in assessing the next best steps in building their publishing career. Cindy provides editorial services, proposal development, and collaborative writing services. She began her career as the owner of an award-winning independent Christian bookstore for eighteen years, then expanded into leadership roles in distribution, editorial, and publishing at Ingram, Simon & Schuster, and Zondervan, where she served as vice president and associate publisher of trade books. As a collaborative writer, Cindy has co-authored the bestselling book UnPlanned with Abby Johnson (Tyndale and Focus on the Family, 2010), 40 Days for Life with Bereit and Carney (Cappella Books, 2013), One Light Still Shines with Marie Monville (Zondervan, 2013), Unstoppable with Christine Caine (Zondervan, 2014) and others. She loves be surrounded by her six children and nine grandchildren.
David Lambert is our editorial director, responsible for managing the editorial development process for each manuscript for Somersault. Dave is the owner of Lambert Editorial. He’s the author of ten books (including The Missionary); a requested speaker; former senior fiction editor at Howard Publishing, a division of Simon & Schuster; and former executive editor for fiction at Zondervan. His experience includes both book and magazine publishing. Dave is a lifelong acoustic music fan who likes nothing better than browsing through a good guitar store, trying out instruments he can’t afford and pretending he can actually play.
Joe has over three decades of experience in Christian book and Bible publishing and marketing. In addition to managing Somersault Group, Joe is the owner and CEO of MAPS, a company that specializes in helping Christian publishers and ministries develop and distribute products to churches. For over 23 years, Joe was senior vice president for Zondervan. He also served as the executive vice president of publishing for Willow Creek Resources for six years where he led the development of many best-selling products. His leadership of the Somersault team insures excellent outcomes—on time and on budget.
Jeannette Taylor is our marketing director, responsible for product development and marketing strategies, and supervision of all research functions for Somersault. With 30+ years of strategic marketing and research experience (she started when she was 10), she’s conducted research studies on everything from egg kits to Philip Yancey. She owns the research firm JET Marketing and is an adjunct professor at Cornerstone University, Grand Rapids, MI. Jeannette is the former general manager of Bibles and vice president of marketing at Zondervan. She loves beaching, biking, boating, and chocolate.
